  • Motor Guide mount "lift assist"

FYI, Robbie Patterson at Propeller Dynamics (next to Sandersons) has invented a system to lessen the effort needed to deploy and stow bow mount Motor Guide trolling motors. It works equal to or better than the Minnkota lift assit mount.

I installed it on my Motor Guide this week. I have the black anodized model.
One goes on each side of the mount.
This is the stainless steel model:

What was the cost of the mount/labor?? In your opinion, is it worth the money?? Also, how long did it take to install?? Thanks..

I installed it. The parts are 59.99 plus tax for the black model. $119.99 for the stainless steel kit.

Robbie and another person in the area do the installs, you have to check with Robbie for the installation price.

It may not be "worth the money" to the young guys, but is definately worth it to the old guys.

I got direct instructions from Robbie in minute detail and it took me about 45 minutes to install.

This is the one I did with the motor deployed showing the piston completely compressed. No way can you do that or even budge the piston by hand. It is really heavy duty way beyond the ones like that on boat hatches or even auto rear doors.
