Please do. I've put the catfish rigs on standby til June. The blues should be spawning by now.

I will try and post up some pics but the live bait was definetly the trick Friday night - a few nice fish with the largest around 15 pounds or so. Was a really nice night temperature wise though the mosquitos were out heavy.

Put in at Dutch Gap and ran upriver past Osbourne. It was low tide which really showed us more of the river contour than ever before. Found two new creeks that we didnt know existed because at high tide the creek beds arent exposed. Also found some steep shelves off these creeks coming in to the river. So we caught some live bait and setup on these creek beds/drop offs/shelves and it paid off.

Was worth it and ran out of live bait. I will be back next time with more live bait.

Hope everyone else had a good weekend and good fishing.

Glad you had some good action - I was at the Occaquan today and was fishing for bass with a rapala DT6 crankbait and landed 2 catfish - I went about 2lbs - the other was 5+ - I didn't have a net and made the mistake of trying to hoist it into the boat and it broke off. Looked like a blue - it hit the bait hard and tried to take it straight down - was a lot of fun - but I'm bummed about my crank bait - I didn't realize cats can be so aggressive....
