Little late posting this, but did take the kids last Friday. Main River was mud but creeks were clean in the backs. Caught about 15 bass and one mud fish. Nothing big but kids had a blast. Kids using wacky worms and i caught a few on swim jig. Fished till about noon then left for ice cream.

I'm going to fish the lower James/Chick Thursday. I'll try to let you know what that looks like. If I go over the James in the next couple days I'll let you know what I see.

River looks to be dropping quick and by Friday you should be fine. Will be in the 5ft range at Westham. I would suppose a lot of the big floaters would be gone and past by now, or already stuck where there'll be for a while. I'd think you'll be fine, just play it safe and tick it back on the throttle a bit.

    Tidal James Conditions

Has anyone been on the Tidal James this week? I am thinking of taking the kids on Friday and fishing some of the creeks in the Jordan Point area. I am concerned with all the rain up river last week that there may be floaters. I don't mind a few when by myself but not worth it with the kids. Thanks.
