Nate and I hooked up again for this event which again started out pretty cold like last year. We even went to our starting spot from last year but this time nothing. We did not catch a fish until around 10:00. We hit a channel swing bank in the main lake with finesse worms on a shakey head to catch our first fish. We ended up catching 3 keepers and 2 or 3 shorts. Also missed a few and lost one. The bite was kinda funny. Fish would bite real light and hold the worm. Give it a few seconds and set the hook only to get back a small piece of the worm. Was odd. We made a run up river and hit a few more spots and lucked up on keeper #4 with a crankbait. With all else failing we went back to the spot we caught our first 3 and caught keeper #5 and then lost another one. That was it. Typical Anna Suxfest. We had 8.39 which was good enough for a 13th place showing. Need the water temps to drop another 15 degrees and then we'll have some fun!

Thank you Larry and the Martin family for another great event! Hits during prime hunting time but I will miss a day of hunting to enjoy this well run tournament!! Awesome job!! Looking forward to next years event!!
