NOVA Bass Anglers fished the September tournament on the Potomac River launching from Leesylvania State Park Sunday, September 27th. We had 11 boats show up and fish. The day started with a light rain and light winds. As the day progressed the sun began to show and the wind picked up slightly to maybe 10mph. Low tide was supposedly 8:45am for Mattawoman. Well the tide never got low. The water was very high all day and made for some tough Potomac river fishing.

We weighed in with nine limits coming to the scales. Most anglers commented on the high water and cathcing fish on reaction baits in the grass beds mid-river.

    Congratulations to the top finishers:

    1st Place: Steve Clary, 14.48lbs
    2nd Place: John Fravel, 14.42lbs
    3rd Place: John Malerich, 11.40lbs

    Big Fish: John Fravel, 4.65lbs

NOVA Bass will fish the Club Classic October 17-18 on the Potomac river launching from Leesylvania State Park.

        Nice Job

If one fish would've ate a crawfish leg before you caught it - you'd won it - still a good bag under tough conditions - congrats....

We are told that we shouldn't judge all Muslims by the actions of an extreme few. Why can't we offer millions of law-abiding American gun owners the same consideration?
