  • How would you fish this?

Smaller reservoir, September 1, not too much fishing pressure. How are you fishing this spot first thing in the morning. What are your first and second lure options? What are you not doing with this spot?

I would try a Whopper Plopper first thing in the morning and then a spinnerbait would be second. With water stained, the fish should be tight to the shallow cover. I would not spend much time on this spot if you don't get bit quickly.

Floating rabbit frog cast on the bank and ripped off to land a foot or so off the bank in the pads like a startled frog. Let it sit for a few moments and then crank it moderately fast and do it again. Follow any missed blow ups with a wacky rigged senko.

swimbait (I would use a Skinny Dipper) with both parallel and perpendicular casts then a weightless weedless senko twitches thru the pads.
          cheers,
