  • I hate Senkos, but...

last night, couldn't get bit on anything so I pulled out the horrible senko. Funny thing was, working the senko down a line of rip rap was the most productive pattern. It was hot as hell until a line of storms came through, luckily just dodged them to the south of me by about a mile. Then it got super comfortable, until the mosquito's came out in full force right at dark. Guess I will have to try senkos along rip rap again...

I'm w/ Erik - how can you hate something that consistently produces? I also keep one rigged, esp when I'm throwing topwater baits.

It just feels too easy at times, I feel like if I am going to have a senko, I might as well have a bobber too

so what is the problem with a float and fly? a wacky rigged senko with a float around docks can be dashizzle....
            cheers,

We can call it the Brian rig - senko on a bobber.

Wait??? This is the same Brian we all know and love right? Since when (in the recent past) have you looked to do something 'hard' or 'difficult' or 'challenging'. Figured the senko was right down your alley. Like the Ronco Rotisserie Oven - "Set it and forget it" or in your case, cast it and let it soak.

Want to really get bit, go old school and whacky hook a slug-go and fish it around cover.
