  • Turkey Bowl Recap

Being a bit cold and foggy, Jim and I started at the ramp throwing JB’s. We had a couple large yellow perch and a small sauger. Jim picked up our first keeper bass over by the point at high point. We worked both sides of the 208 bridge for nada, but always worth a shot. We finally got motivated to run up into the anna arm and found birds working the mouth of Christopher Run. Jim picked up two Stripers there on a vault. We proceed on up to the back towards duck in the hole. Found more birds working there too. I picked up two striper and one chunky bass on a swim bait. We stayed in the area until about 1 PM I suppose. We decided to go hunt for more birds, and ended up in the pomunkey arm at hunters landing. Started flipping the bluff at the no wake buoys and Jim hooks up on a nice 5+ pound chunk. We have four striper, three bass, and two large yellow-perch in the box, lol. We picked up one more small keeper bass on a jerk bait at the launch ramp and that ended our day. Jim got a little jingle for big bass and my wiper just barely missed being big striper. Our four bass weighed in at just over 10 pounds and change.
We had a great was great seeing friends again, great chow, and an all around great day. VAO Rocks!
