    Week ending October 18, 2010
This will be our last report for 2010 we will continue to guide our clients to the great fall of the year bite we're now experiencing, but we're coming to the end of this season and its time we wrap up our reports. Our reports will return in March 2011

    Tidal Potomac River
There are so many patterns at play on the river now just take your pick. We're catching bass in deep turns and drop offs inside the creeks like Mattawoman and Aquia. Rock cover has been particularly productive. Crankbaits like Bomber's Fat-Free Shad in a foxy shad color pattern is working really well. We're finding bass off the main grass lines in the scattered clumps and there are still bass in the thick stuff. We are taking bass around the main river grass on Booyah spinnerbaits, YUM Money Minnows, and YUM Money Frogs. I worked the river from Mattawoman to Aquia this week.
    Lake Anna
The fall bite is definitely in play here the best two patterns here were secondary points inside the larger tributaries in the North Anna and small pockets on the Pamunkey. The key was bait. Rocky cover, willow grass, and clay banks were holding bass in these areas. Once the sun gets up docks in these areas were your best bet especially if it sat on a point.

    Rappahannock River
